LETTER OF THANKS
OF THE BLOC 8406 IN VIETNAM
TO THE HONORABLE RADO TYLECOTE - UK

To : The Honorable Rado Tylecote,

The Conservative Party Human Rights Commissioner of The United Kingdom.
Subject : UK Conservative Party Human Rights Commission Calls To The Vietnamese Government To Cease Severe and Increasing Repressions And To Begin Process Of Transition To Democracy.

Viet Nam, Oct 24th, 2006

Dear The Honorable Rado Tylecote,

Thank you very much for Your precious supporting report on September 10th before The House of Commons of The UK. It means a lot to us when Friends over the world, such as You and your Organization, recognize and support our democratic movement in exerting all our strength to realize a true democracy for our country, Vietnam.

As you certainly know, the road to Democracy is a very difficult one. Although the present Communist Government in Viet Nam is certainly taking our Manifesto seriously, its response is nothing but suppressing, threatening, interrogating, putting under surveillance and arresting Peaceful Democratic Fighters, Members of Group 8406. Though we all hope a sincere and effective cooperation from the Communist Government, realistically we do not expect a real progress to be made without strong support from Organizations outside Viet Nam such as yours and Internatitional Community.

We hope that You and your Organization will continue supporting us.

On this occasion, we would like to send you the Letter of Bloc 8406 to the Leaders of APEC Nations who will come to Viet Nam in 2006, and the Bloc’s two declarations of 10 Fundamental Conditions for a free and fair National Assembly Election and of the Progress to democratise Viet Nam which would be realized in 4 stages & 8 steps.

May you have good health and your Party be successful.

Sincerely yours,

Interim Representatives of Bloc 8406
(Consisting of many thousands of Domestic
and Overseas Peaceful Democratic Fighters):

Do Nam Hai, Engineer, Sai Gon.
Tran Anh Kim, Former Army Officer, Thai Binh.
Nguyen Van Ly, Catholic Priest, Hue.
